VALUE OF LIBRARY SERVICES

What is your library worth to you? Have you ever wondered how much it would cost if you had to pay for all the services you use individually? Using the calculator below you can find out. Simply enter the the number of library items or services you use and then click the "Calculate the Value of Your Library Use" button. (In order to get an accurate value you must be consistent, choose whether you would like to know the weekly, monthly or annual value of service, and use that time span for all categories.)

The calculator worksheet has been adapted from original downloadable spreadsheet by the Massachusetts Library Association and then adapted for the web by Chelmsford Public Library. Maine State Library added extra accessibility coding and reformatting for ease of reading online. This spreadsheet requires either Microsoft Excel or the Excel Viewer.
