What Makes Champions Tick?
Back when I started running track in high school, I honestly thought it was just about who could run the fastest. But then I hit this wall where my body was in shape, I was training daily, yet I kept choking at big meets. The weird part was that in practice I was setting personal bests, but when it mattered most, my legs felt like bricks. One time I literally froze on the starting blocks because I overthought the race. That’s when it hit me that it wasn’t my training plan holding me back, it was my head. Seeing my teammates who seemed calmer under pressure made me wonder what was going on in their minds and how they controlled those nerves that kept crushing me.

It’s funny how sometimes everything goes according to plan and then one random twist changes the whole outcome. A sudden noise, a small distraction, or even just a thought sneaking in at the wrong second can flip the script. I guess that unpredictability is part of what keeps people hooked.
